This blog was created as a review guide for all of my favorite J-Pop artists. I will try to update the blog as much as I can with each artist’s new release but of course, schoolwork comes first. Much like my previous blog, I will review each track on the single / album and then give a final grade reflecting my opinion. However on this blog, I will go more in depth with my review for each track. Hopefully, this blog will survive the way that I want it to.
Some of the artists that I will review are Koda Kumi, Amuro Namie, Hamasaki Ayumi, Utada Hikaru, Goto Maki, Otsuka Ai and many others. Generally I like pop and am not really into J-Rock and there are some J-Urban artists that I like. I’m open to suggestions and will give them a try if you suggest them!

I love your reviews on Jpop and Kpop music. Your reviews are very diplomatic and unbiased, and very detailed too! Where do you find the sources to these music?Did you buy all of the CDs? Just curious.

It’s a combination of buying the CDs and listening to stuff on youtube/imeem. Imeem is very helpful so if you wanted to check something out, I’d recommend there 🙂
I buy a lot of what I review such as anything from Kumi, Hey! Say! JUMP, NEWS, etc. 🙂

Aaaahh, I see. But how do you know that those songs on imeem are up to date or newly-released? Do the uploaders post those songs in groups? How are you informed about the new-released?

Well I usually check around forums and I make myself a list of when all the releases I plan on reviewing come out. So then when it comes time around the release date, I check imeem and they’re usually uploaded. The A-side usually has a PV so youtube will most likely have that or maybe I will have bought the CD and thus I already have the songs 🙂
Jpopmusic forums, JpopKpop Music Forums are good ones to scout around for new release dates!!

I am terribly sorry about the fact that our reviews are similar. It is true that your blog was an inspiration to start a blog of my own, but when I review I just try get to the point. I don’t really see any other way to begin a review and I review each song as I am listening to them, which is also why I explain things chronologically.
