Stephanie – FUTURE [7th Single]

May 15, 2009 at 11:47 pm (Stephanie) (, )

Stephanie

Stephanie’s 7th single, entitled FUTURE, was released on 04.29.09. The title track was used as the theme song to the movie High-Kick Girl.

FUTURE. The song starts off very abruptly and it almost sounds like there was supposed to be something before it. She does sound good though despite the music not being anything particularly wonderful. As the song continues, her voice is nice but the music never gains that strong point to make the audience pay attention. It’s just quite boring and never shows off Stephanie’s true power.

BREAKDOUN is the single’s B-side and does no better job of entertaining the listener. The music is boring and her vocals are nothing out of her ordinary. Honestly, the most interesting thing about the song is the way that the song is spelled.

In order to promote the single, a PV for FUTURE was made. The video is very simple and just features Stephanie wandering around town enjoying the beautiful day. Such a simple concept is nice every once in a while. She may not look very good in the video but that’s okay.

Single Ranking: C

It’s another boring single from Stephanie and it’s sad because she has a great voice. It would be nice if she was given something to make it shine.

Agreed. I think Stephanie has an unique but beautiful voice. She’s in the same category as alan for me. (I’m talking about unique voices.)

Unfortunately, all of her singles since her debut album are really DECEIVING. I really liked Winter Gold, Fallin’ , Smile and Turn away and Truth from her album. I wonder where she’s going like this… =(

(She likes showing off her legs doesn’t she…)

Off topic: You’re really a hard worker there’s almost an update everyday! I really like your reviews keep it it up! I appreciate it!

I can see what you mean about putting her in the same category as alan. Both have very strong voices but the difference is that alan has good songs😄

jk!! But I think alan’s music expresses her as a person and she tries a variety of things while still having that “alan sound.”

Stephanie has her hits and misses…more misses than hits but hey…She does have a good voice and there were some good songs from her debut album but I forget what they are😄
Hopefully her second album will be a lot better…even though the singles are worse this time around

And thanks for the comment!! I love writing reviews and I’m happy that you’re enjoying reading them🙂

alan’s debut album was one the best I have ever seen. I really think that she should keep singing Japanese because she truly has a great talent (even if she’s an earth freak hehehe…). Still, Kuon no Kawa was still a really good song! I believe that everyone should fear alan because if her second album is even better then… wait, is that even possible?! Haha. OH well.It really is a shame for Stephanie though. Let’s hope the best for her! =D

hahaha, I agree!! Voice of EARTH was incredible. All the singles were amazing so then it was like, are the album tracks gonna be able to shape up…the answer is yes! She’s just amazing in every way and if her second album is better than her first…then I don’t even know😄

and yeah, let’s wish Stephanie luck! She has the voice but will the album be good? Only time will tell🙂
